Mental Health Panel: Changing the Conversation about Mental Health
Louise Bradleyn, Chris Cobb, Mary Deacon, Alex Munter
Panelists will participate in a one-hour discussion, focused around celebrating how far we've come in changing the conversation around mental health, as well as provoking a discussion around where we still need to go in terms of de-stigmatizing mental illness. This is a compelling case study on the power that public relations has in changing or reframing important conversations. Moderator Chris Cobb from the Ottawa Citizen will lead the discussion with Mary Deacon, Chair of Bell Canada's Mental Health Initiative, Alex Munter, CEO of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, and Louise Bradley, President and CEO of the Canadian Mental Health Commission.

The Conversations 2013 World Café session will delve into some of the common misconceptions and opportunities that are having an impact on the profession of public relations. Through the World Café experience, the delegates will come together to share their impressions and build a common understanding of the key issues we face. There are no right or wrong answers — only a community of people eager to explore and share their insights. This will also help delegates focus in on the issues most important to them, and what they need to take away from the speakers and workshops which make up the rest of the conference.
